Hull Families, Comic Artist Lilly Williams and The Herd are mapping Hull's outdoor spaces through play.
A group of families met in Hull City Centre to play. Armed with their imaginations, they set out to play and bring back evidence of good playful spaces for free. They explored Hull landmarks, met incredible characters, discovered untold stories and incredible play sites.
Now it's your turn.

Here is a FREE family activity designed for 5 - 11yrs and their families.

You may have been given a map at your school, you can find a beautifully printed PLAY MAP in Libraries, Art Galleries and Community Centres in Hull, or you can download your own here.

LEVEL 2 - LOOK CLOSER
We know there's still lots more play, character and stories to find.
Are you ready to discover them?

Find a place to explore. It could be a site on the PLAY MAP, it could be somewhere new.
It's a good idea to have a pencil and a some paper as you explore too.
When you get there follow the Play Cards below.

You can print these ahead here, or view them on a grown-ups phone.

You could use the voice recorder on your grown-ups phone or just listen
If you don't have gloves, ask a grown-up if it's safe to pick up
If you don't have a jar, why not take a photo instead
You could use an empty water bottle for this
